1. Who We Are

MeowPitch ("we", "us", "our") is a B2B sales research tool offered as a Chrome browser extension and web application. Our service helps sales professionals research prospects, draft outreach, and track email engagement. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use MeowPitch.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Name and email address obtained via Google OAuth when you sign in.
• Support communications: Any information you include when contacting us for help.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Which features you use and how frequently, to improve the product.
• Technical data: Browser type, operating system, and general location (country/region) for security and compatibility.
• Prospect email addresses: Email addresses of prospects you look up are stored locally on your device — not on our servers — unless you explicitly send a tracked email.

2.3 Information from Google (Gmail Integration)

If you choose to connect your Gmail account, we obtain an OAuth 2.0 access token and refresh token from Google. We use these tokens strictly to perform the features described in Section 3. We do not read, index, or store the body content of your emails. We do not access any email or calendar data that is unrelated to the features you explicitly activate.

• Metadata stored: Recipient email address, email subject, a Gmail Message ID, and timestamps of send, open, and reply events — only for emails you send through MeowPitch with tracking enabled.
• Not stored: Full email body text, attachments, contacts, calendar data, labels, or any other mailbox content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your session.
• Send emails on your behalf when you explicitly trigger "Send via MeowPitch".
• Record and display open and reply events for tracked emails you have sent.
• Show you AI-generated insights about prospect responses (sentiment analysis on reply metadata — not email content).
• Perform prospect research using publicly available information.
• Improve the product, diagnose bugs, and maintain security.
• Respond to support requests sent to our contact email.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your Gmail data to serve advertisements, build behavioral profiles, share data with advertising networks, or for any purpose unrelated to providing MeowPitch's core functionality.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Where Data Is Stored

• Account and email-tracking data: Stored in our secure cloud database, located in the United States.
• OAuth tokens: Stored encrypted in our database. Used only to make API calls on your behalf as described in Section 3.
• Research cache: Prospect profile data used for suggestions is stored locally on your device in browser extension storage. None of this is sent to our servers.

5.2 Security Measures

• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
• We use OAuth 2.0 exclusively — passwords are never stored or transmitted.
• Data isolation policies ensure users can only access their own data.
• OAuth tokens are stored and accessed only by authenticated server-side functions.
• We conduct periodic reviews of permissions and access controls.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information or Gmail data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.

We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Infrastructure providers: Third-party cloud infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under their respective data processing agreements. They do not receive independent access to your data.
• Google APIs: We transmit data to Google's APIs solely to execute the features described in Section 3 (e.g., submitting an email to gmail.send).
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MeowPitch, our users, or the public.
• Business transfer: If MeowPitch is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Email Open Tracking

When you send a tracked email via MeowPitch, we embed a small transparent 1×1 pixel image in the email body. When the recipient opens the email and their client loads images, a request is made to our server, which records the open event (timestamp and general location derived from IP address). The IP address itself is not permanently stored.

• Opt-in only: Tracking is disabled by default. You must explicitly enable "Track Opens" in the send modal before sending.
• Per-email control: You can toggle tracking on or off for each individual email.
• No cross-site tracking: The tracking pixel is associated only with emails you send through MeowPitch. We do not perform cross-site profiling or ad retargeting.

8. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active.
• Email tracking records: Retained indefinitely to provide historical analytics within your account, unless you delete them or request account deletion.
• OAuth tokens: Retained as long as your Gmail connection is active. Tokens are invalidated and deleted when you disconnect Gmail or delete your account.
• Support communications: Retained for up to 3 years for quality and legal purposes.

You may request deletion of all your data at any time (see Section 9). Upon verified deletion request, we will remove your account and associated records within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability: Receive your tracked-email data in a machine-readable format (CSV).
• Revoke Gmail access: Disconnect Gmail at any time via Google Account settings (see §3.5) or by contacting us.
• Opt out of tracking: Disable email open/reply tracking in the extension settings.

10. Cookies

We use only functional cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

11. Children's Privacy

MeowPitch is intended for use by business professionals and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

12. International Data Transfers

MeowPitch is operated from Brazil and uses services hosted in the United States. By using MeowPitch, you acknowledge that your data may be processed outside your country of residence. We take steps to ensure that data transfers comply with applicable laws.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you via the extension interface or email. Continued use of MeowPitch after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance.
